This one is pretty classic and kind of unforgivable. If the bride is wearing white, and even if she isn’t, just avoid anything in the white or ivory color altogether. To be even safer, get the color the bride is wearing as well as her bridesmaids so you can avoid being mistaken for a member of the bridal party all night.
3 – SHOWING UP LATEThis one goes back to the RSVP rule. The bride and groom paid for you to eat and drink. Be there on time out of respect for the couple but also so you can take advantage of the delicious eats and fun cocktails. You won’t be sorry!
4 – BEING CRITICAL
You may not love the bride’s dress or her choice of decor and flowers. Save the gossip and banter for after the wedding so you can come across as supportive and loving. After all, the bride and groom have invited you to be present for the most important day of their lives. Show some love!
5 – DRINKING TOO MUCH
The open bar may be tempting but this is one to definitely avoid. Have fun, but definitely know your limits. You don’t want to be involved in a story that goes down in infamy!
